On November 18, the final of World Privacy Protection Computing Competition 2022 (WPPCC 2022) was successfully held online. With the theme of technology leading and privacy protection, the competition aims to further promote the innovative application of privacy computing technology, explore privacy protection computing solutions, improve China's privacy security protection capabilities, and advance the sustainable and healthy development of the digital economy.

The competition is hosted by the Organizing Committee of China International Digital Economy Expo and organized by the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center. The competition has set up the tracks of smart medical, smart marketing and smart anti-fraud. Since its launch in September this year, it has attracted more than 100 teams to register for the competition. After pre-competition training and online preliminaries, 30 excellent teams were shortlisted for the finals. After fierce competition and strict evaluation, one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and four excellent prizes were determined for the three tracks.

Before the competition, Shen Changxiang, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a keynote speech titled "Building a Secure and Credible New Ecology of the Digital Economy", analyzing the opportunities and challenges of the digital economy era, interpreting the necessity and importance of building a secure and credible new ecology of cyberspace, and introducing technologies and products to protect the healthy development of the digital economy with practical cases.
